Bottoms Up!

Latin-American superstar Jennifer Lopez is capitalising on her biggest asset! Arguably possessing the most famous derriere in the world, Lopez is celebrating her most talked about feature with a song entitled err… “Booty”! The new single reunites Jennifer with Cuban rapper Pit-ball on this DJ Diplo collaboration. They are no doubt keeping their fingers crossed and hoping to emulate their previous shared, chart successes, most notably enjoyed by 2011 global smash “On The Floor”. 

In a recent interview, Jennifer admitted that she was initially hesitant about including the track on her newly released eighth studio album “Aka”: “I heard it and I was like there’s no way in the world that I will ever have a song called ‘Big Booty’... it’s just that I felt like it would be a joke, you know what I mean? And I didn’t want that for this album, this was an important album to me. I was a serious artist!” (Lopez laughs) “And then I played it in the car... and my twins were in the car and they went nuts for the song! It was a first listen, the minute it came on. And I was like, ‘I have to put this… song on the album’.”

With the twins approval and her obvious sense of fun, the song made the cut and is due for release later this summer. Jennifer adds: "It's a great song, it's a fun song and it's a bout owning everything about you and who you are, and embracing that".

Move over Miley Cyrus, as the triple threat star, takes centre stage in her new booty shaking video and shows us all, how twerking should be done!

 
Live in London!

 If alternative rock is more your thing, than why not get yourselves down to renowned live venue The Water Rats (Kings Cross) on the 23^rd June for a taste of Cypriot rockers ‘Marianne’s Wish’ (www.marianneswish.com). The band have recently toured the US, promoting their second album “Mind Your Head”, with shows including the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas and world famous venue "Whiskey A Gogo" in LA. 

 Support act ‘Echo Wants Her Voice Back’ will also be performing on the night showcasing the haunting vocals of lead singer Eleni Skarpari Blurring the lines of folk music and rock, Eleni exudes a unique style that is truly her own with a plethero of musical tastes ranging from such diverse artists as PJ Harvey and Regina Spektor to Pink.  Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £5.
