New Music!
Some of Greece’s biggest singing stars are preparing for the summer with exciting music releases! Firm favourites Giannis Ploutarhos, Despina Vandi and Eleni Foureira are all keeping their fingers crossed for a little sunshine in their music sales!
Ploutarhos has recently enjoyed a spate of successful live performances alongside fellow solo star Pantelis Pantelides and the pair are now celebrating their triumph with a collaboration in the studio!
Pantelides has penned Plourtarhos’ new single entitled “Narkopedio H Zwi Mou”; a powerful laiko track destined for chart glory.
What better way to mark her return to record label ‘Heaven’, then by releasing a brand new single?! Despina Vandi is back with “Ola Allazoun” composed by Dimitri Kontopoulou and Vicky Gerthodorou. Warning: only comfortable shoes to be worn for this dance/pop number that will no doubt have you jumping to the beat (or is that just me?).
Also vying for the pop chart
throne is Eleni Foureira who goes all Gaga on us for her latest video clip to
accompany new English single “PSR” short for "Party Sleep, Repeat".
Theatre Technis Workshop Launch!
Leading fringe theatre company Theatro Technis Presents their own programme of Music and Drama Workshops! As well as the big launch in autumn, which will offer classes for both children and adults, TTechnis will also be holding preview events this summer for kids. These exciting workshops will give children and parents an idea of what to expect from the autumn launch as well as providing an opportunity to feedback on what the participants think of the Theatre’s innovative and engaging content. The taster sessions will be taking place on Saturday 21st June at 3.30pm for 5-7 year olds and 4.30pm for 8-10 year olds. Places are limited to ten children per age group to ensure each child gets the maximum learning benefits from the hour workshop. Although these taster Workshops are free, any donation to Theatro Technis would be welcome! Press Release - SHOW ME YOUR Talent Contest 2014
Do you have a talent you want to share? Are you a singer, dancer, comedian, juggler or gymnast? Then the “SHOW ME YOUR TALENT” Contest (www.hellenictv.net) is waiting for you… HTV are holding a talent contest to celebrate the talent of North London, and more. All ages and talents welcome – variety is the spice of life after all. There is a three-stage process for this televised talent contest – Auditions, Semi-Final and the Final where the winner will be announced. The winner will receive promotion through TV & Radio, and a day in the studio to record a new song. Applicants will need to be available for auditions, which will be taking place from the end of July/beginning of August and also for the Semi-Final on the 13th September and Grand Final on the 19th October 2014. Auditions will be held in North London (location TBC) and may be filmed and televised.
